BKKDEV LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website bkkdev.com (the “Site”). The Site primarily provides free travel articles, stories, guides and inspiration about hidden places and offbeat exploration. At this time we do not sell digital products, subscriptions, paid memberships, e-books, courses or any downloadable content through the Site. We also do not process ticket sales, tour bookings, accommodation reservations or any third-party travel services directly on the platform.
This Refund Policy applies only in the rare cases where we may offer paid services in the future (for example small-group guided expeditions, private custom itineraries or limited-access premium content) or where a payment has been made in error. The policy is written to be clear, fair and compliant with applicable consumer protection laws in the United States.
General No-Refund Principle for Free Content
All articles, blog posts, route suggestions, community recommendations and any other informational content available on the Site are provided completely free of charge. There are no fees associated with reading, browsing or sharing this content. Therefore no refunds are applicable or possible for access to free materials.
Paid Services (If and When Offered)
If we introduce any paid offerings in the future (such as guided small-group journeys, personalized planning services or exclusive downloadable resources) the following rules will apply:
Payments for such services are generally non-refundable once the service has been confirmed and preparation has begun, because we commit resources, reserve dates with local partners, arrange logistics and limit group sizes to keep the experience intimate and high-quality.
In exceptional circumstances we may consider a partial or full refund on a case-by-case basis. Examples of valid reasons may include serious illness or family emergency supported by documentation, or if we are forced to cancel the experience due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (extreme weather events, government restrictions, natural disasters or similar force majeure events). Refunds in these cases will be evaluated individually and may be issued as a full refund, partial refund or credit toward a future experience, depending on timing and costs already incurred.
Requests made simply because of a change of mind, personal preference or last-minute decision after confirmation will not qualify for a refund.
Erroneous or Duplicate Payments
If you accidentally make a duplicate payment, pay more than the advertised amount, or send funds to us in error (for example mistaking us for another service), please contact us immediately. We will review the transaction and issue a full refund of the erroneous amount as quickly as possible, usually within 7–14 business days depending on the payment method used.
How to Request a Refund or Credit
All refund or credit requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]. Please include:
- your full name
- the date and details of the payment (transaction ID if available)
- a clear explanation of the reason for the request
- any supporting documentation if applicable (medical note, official notice of restriction etc.)
We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and aim to provide a final decision within 14 business days. Refunds, when approved, will be returned to the original payment method unless that is not feasible, in which case we will discuss an alternative.
No Chargebacks Without Contacting Us First
We ask that you contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or dispute through your bank or payment provider. Chargebacks create significant administrative costs and can disrupt our ability to serve other travelers. If we can resolve the issue amicably we will do so promptly.
